God's Medical Report

Awadhi and Justice The Lord has been so faithful to the children here at TOA. We have received some more good news regarding the health of our HIV positive children. We reported a few months ago that Antoni and Anjela’s viral loads (a blood value that shows how many copies of the HIV virus are in the circulating blood) were so low that they were undetectable. That means that their immune systems are strong like other children who are not infected with HIV. At the same time we received a not so good report that showed Awadhi’s(pictured above left) viral load was over 80,000 and Justice’s(pictured above right) was over 18,000. Awadhi’s medicine was changed to 2nd line antiretroviral medications, which is the last resort here as far as the ARV medication is concerned.

Both boys were recently retested to check their progress and Awadhi’s viral load is now 44! Not 44,000, but 44! And Justice’s count dropped to 7,000. So we are praising God for the good progress that has been made with their treatment. Keep believing with us for their complete and total healing!

Also I would like to praise the Lord for a very special event that took place here at TOA on July 1. It was Anjela’s 4th birthday. I remember the day that we took her into the orphanage almost 2 1/2 years ago and I took her to the doctor to be examined. He predicted that she would not live more than one year from that day. And now she is 4 years old!

Praise the Lord for His touch in the lives of these beautiful children. Thank you for your prayers!
