Awadhi
 Awadhi is 4 years old and his birthday is May 8th. Awadhi’s mother died shortly after his birth due to AIDS. Awadhi was left in the care of his father who also tested positive for HIV. Shortly after, his father became mentally ill and abandoned him. Awadhi’s uncle went searching for Awadhi’s father but after speaking to some people they said they had seen him in Mwanza eating out of garbage bins and acting crazy. But nobody knew where he was for sure. So the uncle decided to take him into his home and then became his primary caretaker. After losing his job, the uncle was no longer able to care for Awadhi and asked for the social welfare officer to help find somewhere for him to live and receive care.
When we first received Awadhi into Treasures of Africa Children’s Home, he was extremely thin, weak, and had very little muscle tone. Even though he is 4 years old he was unable to walk on his own. Now through the power of God Awadhi is up on his feet running and playing with the other children. He is very pleased with himself! Awadhi is a happy child and has a sweet disposition. Awadhi is HIV positive and has already begun Anti-retroviral treatment. Please pray for his complete healing!
