Benny is the newest addition to the Treasures of Africa family. He is the nephew of our assistant director Eli. Benny’s father died when he was only 10 years old. Being the oldest of 4 children, he had to grow up quickly and help his mother with the other children and the responsibilities of the house. With the help and guidance of his loving mother and uncle Eli, Benny has grown up to be a wonderful young man. He has such a servant’s heart and can always be found lending a helping hand to others.
Because educational resources are limited here in Tanzania, it was hard to find a good school for Benny, who is now 15 years old. He was brought to Treasures of Africa so that he could attend the same school that our oldest girls are attending. Benny has been such a blessing to the staff and children here. He has become a good role model for the younger children of TOA , and they all love and admire him. He has learned to play the guitar while living at TOA and often leads worship here at home and at church. The love he has for God show through in all that he does. We thank God for this opportunity to help this precious young man. We know that the Lord will use him mightily for His glory.
