Fatuma
Fatuma is a very sweet girl with a tragic past. Her father was murdered by thieves who broke into their home when she was 6 years old. The following year her mother became very ill and died within 2 days. Fatuma then went to live with her grandmother, whose health was declining so much so that Fatuma soon had to fill the role of the caregiver. She would often to do the cooking and cleaning and miss going to school in order to help her grandmother.
Her situation was discovered by a local pastor and brought to the attention of the government welfare department. She was brought to Treasures of Africa when she was 8 years old along with her half –sister Sifaeli.
Today Fatuma is doing very well in her new life here at TOA. She loves to sing in the church choir and is a very talented dancer. She is also a very smart girl who always does well in school, ranking in the top 10 of her class. She loves to study and has great aspirations to be a future president of Tanzania. We know the Lord will continue to bring healing and love to the heart of this little girl, and one day she will be used by the Lord for His great purposes.
