Maria was born on May 15, 2007. She was a twin but unfortunately her twin and her mother both died during childbirth. Maria was left at the hospital with no one to care for her. The hospital staff took her to the welfare dept who brought her to us on May 17, 2007.

When Maria arrived she was so small. But within a short time she began to grow. She has changed so much from that first day we saw her. She has the biggest eyes and the sweetest smile. Everyone loves holding Maria. She is a very content, happy baby. She loves to lay in her crib awake and make all kinds of noises to herself. She can be found doing this for long periods of time. She is content wherever she is.

Maria is eating well and growing quickly. She does not look like the same baby that came to us in May 2007. It is so much fun watching the different stages in of growth and change these past months. She is a very sweet treasure.
